range finder rifle scope
I remember reading about a rifle scope that had indicaters inside of the scope that were based upon the average persons height, you would line up the mark inside of your scope and see the number directly below it and know that the target was about that many yards or meters away. I have been searching all day but can not find that type of scope.
perhaps it was an old design or a model that was not popular. does any one know what I am talking about? thanks, |
Re: range finder rifle scope
Yes. But I've got to think about it.

Re: range finder rifle scope
Wouldnt it be a bitch to get over-run by a screaming horde of dwarfs when you are all practiced up with your rangefinder scope, anticipating strapping six foot tall Eurasians?

This guy has a really cool scope. I think he is having problems getting some to produce it though...check it out. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=315758

ACOG
Trijicon makes some interesting optical sights, the ACOG series contain a triti um element to illuminate the reticle for low light use, and use a rangefinding scheme based on the width of a mans shoulders, presumed to average 19 inches. they have a few different versions, some ballistics to match 7.62 NATO, and some models are built for the M855 version of .223
